About the Item
The beauty of this pendant lies in the contrast obtained between the white and yellow gold and the intense red garnets. 37 brilliant cut zircons and 4 marquise cut garnets have been used to decorate this beautiful cross. The zircon is a natural stone specially found in Autralia, Asia and Africa and some of zircon material is 4.4 billion years old, making it the oldest-known mineral on Earth. Garnet is a very strong stone, its use in jewelry dates back to the Bronze Age and its name is derived from Latin "granatus" possibly a reference to the vivid red of pomegranate seeds. The cross and the stones are in very good used condition.
