About the Item
This is an extraordinary museum quality Art Nouveau, Belle Epoque Pendant Necklace set with Rose Cut and Old Mine Cut Diamonds in Platinum and 18 Karat Gold with a Pearl pendant. The jewel with a central Old Mine Cut Diamond of .20 Carat. The central diamond sits on an articulated knife edge bar pendant with a further diamond. The flowers and leaves are set with Rose Cut Diamonds in platinum milgrain beaded collets. The 5mm creamy white Pearl is suspended on a further articulated knife edge pendant with platinum diamond and leaf adornment. The diamonds are set in platinum within the swirling Art Nouveau design in 18 Karat gold. The jewel is a delicate, romantic masterpiece of the Art Nouveau period. It dates to circa 1890 - 1910.
