About the Item
An Art Nouveau enamel and pearl pendant by Falize, the five realistiacly caved gold leaves with green and pink plique-à-jour enamel decorations, embellished with seven natural baroque-shaped pearls, all to yellow gold openwork frame and pendant loop, bearing French gold eagle marks, unsigned, accompanied by original fitted case, circa 1900, measuring approximately 7x3cm, gross weight 6.3grams.
This antique pendant is in very good condition, with minor signs of wear on the enamel consistent with the age of the piece.
A charming enamel and pearl pendant by Falize from the collection of Bentley
Skinner, Jewellers by Royal Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III. The delicate pink and green gradient of the enamel is an elegant interpretation of gentle colours found on leaves in the natural world. Falize was a prominent French jewellery house famous for its cloisonné enameling, this piece was made during Andre Falize’s ownership when pieces like this one were largely in the Art Nouveau style and would become the houses style for the next decade.
