About the Item
This is a gorgeous antique gold filled Victorian - Art Nouveau locket pendant necklace which features a beautiful goddess maiden woman with extraordinary flowing hair. This is one of the most beautiful images of a goddess woman we have seen on a locket. It is a sensitive romantic but strong depiction of womanhood! Her hair is magnificent as it swirls in the wind around her face. On the reverse is a fabulous initial monogram which I believe is MFH. The locket hangs from a fabulous gold filled chain. The locket and necklace are in wonderful condition. The necklace dates to circa 1890-1920.
The locket opens to reveal places for two photos. The wonderful locket dances delightfully around the neck. Goddess maiden inspired jewels as well as lockets are all the rage today and finding one of this quality is just a dream.
The Victorian Chain is 16 inches long.
The locket is 1 1/4 inches (3 cm) long including the bale.
The locket is 28mm in diameter.
There is some minimal age appropriate wear to the gold fill.
The locket necklace weighs 8.4 grams.
