THIS IS A WONDERFUL ORIGINAL ART NOUVEAU PENDANT OR CHARM IN A STUNNING FORM WITH ROSE CUT DIAMONDS,
AND AMETHYST, IN 14K WHITE AND YELLOW GOLD WITH A GORGEOUS TRANSLUCENT GREEN ENAMEL LILY PAD LEAF AT THE BASE, AND DATING TO CIRCA 1910.
This is just a magnificent antique jewel! It really doesn't get better than this. This wonderful original art nouveau pendant dates to c1890-1920. It has lovely delicate Edwardian elements to its design as well as the classic nature inspired elements of the Art Nouveau period. The swirling forms are of 14 Karat gold which is white gold on the top and yellow on the underside. There are 11 antique Rose Cut Diamonds set into the swirls and a central Amethyst set in the top diamond form. The edges of the gold swirls are all decorated with fine beading. At the bottom of the pendant is a beautifully done leaf decorated with enamel over the gold. The leaf has superb detail in its form and the colors of the enamel include greens, yellows and pink. This is truly a lovely antique jewel and on a chain will be absolutely delightful!
And pendant charms are all the rage today. Hang a group of them on a necklace - the epitome of fashion!
The pendant is in excellent condition. The gems are wonderfully cut and have no chips or cracks and are all original to the pendant.
The pendant is 25 mm (1 inch) long from the top of the loop to the bottom of the leaf and and 17 mm wide.
