About the Item
A rare and exquisitely crafted Art Nouveau pendant in silver with plique-à-jour enamel and an integrated hinged mirror. The piece features a finely sculpted repoussé bust of a woman with flowing hair and pearl adornments, framed by a vibrant iris bloom and colourful enamel panels in shades of violet, blue, and green. Executed in the plique-à-jour technique, the stained-glass effect evokes a luminous transparency when held to the light. The reverse reveals a hidden silver mirror compartment that opens smoothly on a concealed hinge. Marked “900” for silver fineness, the pendant is offered in its original fitted case from Editions Graphiques Gallery, London.
