A shimmering, ethereal natural Australian precious opal is prong-set within twin rings of 14K yellow gold and topped with a brilliant little diamond in this midcentury pendant. Created in the 1970s, this gorgeous pendant features a 15.54mm x 12.26mm x 2.60mm opal from Australia. This is not a doublet or a triplet, but a solid opal. The back of the pendant is open to proudly display the stone's integrity.
The opal flashes brilliant colors -red, orange, pink, and yellow, and is predominantly green.
It's a gorgeous pendant, quite well made, though it bears no maker's mark. However, the pendant is marked for metal fineness (14K, 585).
The dimensions including the bail are 29.88mm x 18.09mm. The pendant ships with a certificate from woman-owned Stone Group Labs stating that the opal is natural and from Australia and that fine, shallow fissures were observed a typical result.
