About the Item
Born in 1928 in Denmark, Bent Gabrielsen Pedersen was among the first wave of students to attend the prestigious Danish College of Jewelry and Silversmithing. After graduating from the college with a speciality in goldsmithing, Gabrielsen Pedersen apprenticed under legendary jewelers including Hans Hansen and Georg Jensen. Known for his elliptical and "boomerang"-shaped designs, Gabrielsen Pedersen worked primarily in silver, enamel, ivory, and ebony. In the mid 1960s, he dropped "Pedersen" from his name and continued creating under the name Bent Gabrielsen until his death in 2014.
A striking collar necklace designed by Bent Gabrielsen from the Vintage (ca1960s) era! Crafted in 18k vibrant yellow gold, this simplistic collar necklace is comprised of two non-flexible crescent-shaped links. The two pieces are connected in the front by a small gold ring, and the necklace secures with a similar mechanism in the back. The inside surface of the piece is marked with the Bent Gabrielsen signature and a "750" purity mark. A timeless and elegant piece, this collar necklace would be perfect for any special event!
Measurements: The inside of the collar (where your neck) would rest has a width of 5 1/2" and a height of 5".
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no serious damage to the gold collar necklace.
