About the Item
One of the finest Victorian Bohemian Garnet Parure with Necklace, Bracelet and Earrings that we have ever seen. The Garnet Necklace is a masterpiece of Victorian Garnet Jewelry. It has Star and Moon center medallions with very deep garnets of the most extraordinary color. The incredible depth of these medallions is extremely unusual and of the very finest quality. The necklace continues with star and flower rondelles around the chain. The necklace is completed by a gorgeous garnet set box clasp. The fiery blood red garnets are all matching and original to the necklace. The Bracelet is equally stunning. The garnets sparkle with a brilliant red fire and the design in its three tiered pattern is absolutely gorgeous. The garnets extend around the entire bracelet. All of the garnets are matched and original to the bracelet. The earrings have quatrefoil design with four flower rondelles in each earring. These magnificent Bohemian Garnet jewels date to the Victorian period, circa 1880.
The necklace is 15.5 inches long. The center medallion is 2 inches (50mm) long and 1 1/8 inch wide and is 6mm deep.
The interior of the bracelet is 6.5 inches around. It opens to fit over the wrist. It has a safety chain.
The top of the bracelet is 7/8 inch (22mm) wide and it is 10mm deep.
The earrings are 3/4 inch (20mm) by 3/4 inch.
The Bohemian Garnets are set in Silver Gilt as was the custom of the period. The earring clips are 10 Karat Gold.
