About the Item
This pristine Etruscan revival demi-parure dates to the mid-Victorian era, circa 1860. The collar is composed of an articulated, silky smooth 15 karat gold snake chain adorned with chain festoons interspersed by five domed locket-back drops, each decorated with luminous cabochon amethyst wrapped in delicate tornado details. The drop earrings mirror the domed drops in the necklace but to not contain lockets. Comes with the original fitted box.
Measurements: Necklace measures 15.5" in length largest drop 1 1/16" in diameter, smallest drop is 3/4" in diameter. Earrings measure 1 1/4" x 3/4" screw backs
Weight: necklace 51.8 grams, earrings 13.8 grams
Metal: bloomed 15 karat gold and 9 karat gold screw back closures on the earrings
