A Byzantine Cross Pendant with a 21K gold dangle setting and rope trimming around the edges. This bronze cross is from the 4th to 6th Centuries AD; likely created by lost wax casting and then further decorations hand chiseled. The Byzantine Era ran from the 300s to the fall of Constantinople and the Eastern Roman Empire in the 1450's, at which time, the area fell to the Ottoman Empire. The vast area of Byzantium spanned from the Mediterranean coast of Italy to Eurasia. This is an artisan hand-crafted custom piece made with precious metal and ancient materials. Unique and one of a kind!
