About the Item
1820's Cameo pendant necklace. All original handmade pendant, circa 1820. Tear drop shaped, hand formed using chasing, repose and delicate twisted wire techniques all around the frame. The frame holds a translucent multi color shell carving of a woman’s profile. There is an original hand made wire chain from the same time period. Both the pendant and the chain have a natural Patina from age. The pendant loop at the top appears to have an older hand done repair expertly executed. 16 inches in length.
