About the Item
A gorgeous natural and untreated omphacite jade pendant from the midcentury -circa 1950. Created in Hong Kong, the jade has been carved and pierced into a floral motif. The tone of the green is a deep, rich forest green.
The jade carving itself measures 26.60mm x 19.57mm. The overall dimensions are 32.19mm x 20.92mm x 8.05mm. The attached chain is 17" in length. The jade is mounted atop a curved plate of solid 14K yellow gold and held securely in place with prongs. The rear of the plate is subtly convex and features a hand-engraved border, which you can see in the pictures. Also on the rear is "14K" and HK, presumably for Hong Kong. Though I could find no maker's mark, this is clearly a high-quality pendant.
The jade itself is translucent and possesses a gorgeous high-gloss polish. This pendant ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating that the jade is untreated Omphacite jade.
