The Charites London Necklace takes its name after three goddesses, (Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia together called The Charites), representing natural beauty, festivity, kindness, and charm. The hand sculpted The Charites intaglio on the alluring green carnelian gemstone is finished with the touch of a gold leaf, and delicately placed inside the 22k gold vermeil on 925 sterling silver body which forms our signature The Charites Pendant. The alluring pendant is a celebration of womanhood and its natural deities. For years, women were depicted as powerful characters in mythology; with the combination of green carnelian’s powerful aura, this pendant will speak for the women's soul. The 22k gold vermeil on 925 sterling silver Roman Chain on the necklace is completely designed and made with hand by the masters of its artistry. The majority of Roman jewellery, which was created by highly skilled artisans, was made of gold. The knotting and twisted wire exhibited in this chain were methods utilised in Roman Empire jewellery for ancient public officials and royal characters. Ancient beauty born from the unification of The Charites London Necklace charm and The Roman Chain has created this limited piece. Dimensions of pendant: L: 2 cm / 1.8” - W: 2.7 cm / 1.4” *Please note that due to handcrafted artistry and natural jewels, each piece is unique and may differ slightly from portrayed images and dimensions. The Carnelian dates back to Ancient Egypt, when it was used for a variety of purposes, including promoting fertility, igniting romance, and even giving bravery to the warriors of the day. Today carnelian is widely known for filling the wearer's aura with uplifting, vivid energy through stimulating creativity, self-care, confidence, and empowerment. In order to be effective Carnelian is suggested to be contacted with skin. The craftsmanship of the necklace is carefully designed in-line with the gemstone’s properties as the back of the necklace is completely open allowing the gemstone to contact the wearer. We feel that the necklace’s genuine ancient beauty is the result of Ece London's meticulous hand carvings of each piece (entirely from wax), which results in a unique item.
