Indulge in a gorgeous and very rare Art Nouveau - Victorian - Belle Epoque Picture Locket pendant set with Demantoid Garnet and Ruby gems in a flower motif design. The locket is the most stunning warm 10-12 Karat Gold. The wonderful image on the front is an Art Nouveau Jugendstil design with flowers and leaves. The flowers are set with three Demantoid Green Garnets. Lockets with Demantoid Garnets are exceedingly rare. The three green garnets are exquisite faceted pear shape gems. They have the fabulous crystalline radiance that characterizes the Demantoid Garnets and makes them so coveted. The second flower is set with three round faceted Ruby gems of wonderful red color. The design is a masterpiece of Art Nouveau jewelry making. The reverse is unadorned.
The locket is a lovely size - 1 1/2 inches long including the bales. It opens to reveal the photo compartment with place for 2 photos. Both of the photo inserts are present.
The jewel us one of the most beautiful lockets we have seen. It is a delicate romantic jewel set with rare Demantoid Garnets and Rubies in a flower motif. It is treasure within which you may place your most treasured momento. The rare picture locket dates to the Art Nouveau - Victorian - Belle Epoque period, circa 1880-1910.

There is some slight denting of the gold consistent with the age of the jewel. Some of the photos accentuate some scratching of the surface which is not evident when looking at the locket with the natural eye.
The locket weighs 4.4 grams.
