Modernist sculptural necklace designed by E. Silvert.
We are offering here a large sterling silver modernist necklace-pendant created in New York City by the silversmith artist E. Silbert, back in the 1960. E. Silbert is one of the most famous unknown designers on the modernist end of the spectrum. This oversized example is in the form of a stylized acrobats couple hanging together like in a carnival. It was exceptionally crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver and made up in the lost wax technique, that means this necklace is a unique one-of-a-kind piece.
E. Silvert
Sculptural pieces from E. Silvert, first appeared on the New York scene in the late 1950's, numerous figural forms (hand sculptured) began the "thing" to have in the early Beatnik era...ballet forms, carnival forms, elaborate two entity forms, and were found well into the mid-1960's---but there is not one single reference in a guide to further identify the person or whether even if they were male or female.

Collateral: This E. Silvert necklace is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this E. Silvert necklace is excellent. Besides the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All parts are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
