AN EDWARDIAN AMETHYST, DIAMOND
EMERALD DROP PENDANT c 1890-1910
A striking statement piece crafted in the romantic Edwardian spirit. This impressive pendant centres on a deep, velvety oval cabochon amethyst, held in gilded claws and framed by an elegant openwork foliate surround set throughout with shimmering rose-cut diamonds.
Suspended below is a beautifully matched pear-shaped cabochon amethyst, joined by a vibrant circular cabochon emerald—a refined hit of green that lifts the entire composition.
The structure is ornate yet balanced, with a graceful 7cm drop that sits beautifully on the chest. The reverse is stamped 925 for sterling silver with gilt finish. Designed primarily as a pendant; as shown, it can be worn pinned, but it will require an added fitment as no brooch fittings are present. No chain is included.
A mesmerising piece with outstanding colour and presence—true Edwardian glamour with modern wearability.
