About the Item
A beautiful earring and pendant set from the Edwardian (ca1900s) era! This stunning 3-piece set begins with a pair of sparkling earrings. Each earring begins with a circular surmount, which features a central mine cut diamond surrounded by a halo of calibrated sapphire stones. All of the diamonds and sapphires are held within milgrained bezel-settings. The earrings then continue to a diamond-shaped component, which also features a central, larger mine cut diamond held within a milgrained bezel-setting. The diamond is also bordered by a star-motif, which is represented by additional calibrated sapphires. The remainder of the diamond-shaped component is encrusted with bead-set rose cut diamonds. The earrings are completed by simple posts and friction backs, which are stamped with a "950" purity mark. The pendant features an identical, yet larger-scaled design to the earrings, and has a hidden bail at the back of the piece, perfect for attaching the piece to a favorite platinum chain. Overall, the diamonds have an approximate total carat weight of 3.5ctw and the sapphires have an approximate total carat weight of 1.50ctw. A fantastic set, these earrings and pendant would be perfect for any special event!
Measurements: Each earring hangs approximately 7/8" long and has a width of 1/2". The pendant hangs 1 1/8" long and has a width of 3/4".
Condition: The overall condition of the set is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the platinum setting, and all of the diamonds and sapphires are secure and intact. The earring posts, friction backs, and complementary pendant bail are all secure and in working order.
