About the Item
A Fabergé white and red enamelled Easter egg pendant, to the centre a silver-gilt relief of Empress Elizabeth over a red guilloche enamel background, withing a rose gold frame flanked with four rose-cut diamonds, the egg with opaque white enamel and suspended by two gold loops, bearing gold mark for 56 zolotniks and maker’s mark of work-master Mikhail Perkhin, St. Petersburg, before 1903, measuring 2.9 x 1.7cm, gross weight 10 grams.
This antique pendant is in very good condition for its age. Marked 56 zolotniks, equivalent to 14ct gold.
A magnificent Fabergé Easter egg pendant featuring skilfully applied white and red enamel made by workmaster Mikhail Perkhin. The centre of this egg pendant is a relief of Empress Elizabeth, who reigned as Empress of Russia from 1741 until 1762 and remains one of the most beloved monarchs because of her decision not to execute a single person during her reign. The relief is further embellished with four rose-cut diamonds lending a subtle sparkle to this graceful pendant from the collection of Bentley
