FABULOUS LARGE vintage Mughal / Mogul 22kt yellow gold pendant with genuine irregular size rose cut diamonds ,emeralds , sapphires and ruby insert . Stones make a peacock design with floral motifs on front side . Pendant back is also very beautifully and has raised peacock and foliage design .
These type of Mughal jewelry is usually wax filled from inside with gemstone inserts as this pendant . This pendant originally must have been part of large piece or decorating turban or a head piece.
Unsigned /Unmarked but acid tests positive for 22 kt gold.
Dates : late 19th to early 20th century
Measurements :
Pendant is 2 3/4 inches in total drop length x 2 1/4 inches max width .
Weighs 42 grams .
Pendant has 60 rose cut diamonds approx. 4.80 cttw with thin cut ruby, emerald and sapphire stones . Most likely stones are foiled back .
Condition :
Beautiful vintage condition with minor age related wear . Can see a small missing diamond . Will definitely make a rare addition to your vintage jewelry collection .
