About the Item
For sale is this stunning religious charm. This lovely charm depicts a well detailled Virgin Mary in front of an halo and stained glass. On the bottom of the charm we see roses, roses have long been connected with Virgin Mary. In the fifth century Virgin Mary was referred to as a "rose among thorns". Known as the “queen of flowers”, the rose represents Mary as Queen of Heaven. The whole charm is encircled with a small dotted boarder giving it an even stronger appearance. This Antique pendant has a floral and warm look thanks to the foliate decoration encircling this religious scene.
The maker of this charm has chosen a now patinated yellow gold as the basis material. This lovely medallion is crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and hallmarked with a French eagle head mark. The back of this royal charm is decorated with the name 'Nicole' , the place 'Lourdes' and date '2 July 1931'.
We love every little detail of this marvellous pendant. Its royal colour, the hand made engravings, the may hidden meanings.. . This pendant will be a wonderful addition to your antique collection or can be a perfect gift to protect the person you love most.
