About the Item
Necklace in 18 carat yellow gold.
This splendid and rare necklace "negligé" is formed of a chain yellow gold separated from 12 Coral angel skin pearls. The antique chain retains on the front a motif consisting of a line of coral angel skin and antique brillant cut diamonds seated millegrains which retains in pampille 2 drops of coral skin of angel surmounted each one of a antique cut diamond seated millegrains positioned asymmetrically. The clasp is a spring ring.
Diameter of the coral pearls of the chaine : 5 to 6.5 mm.
Height of the coral drops: 1.75 cm, width at the widest: 1.2 cm.
Overall length of the necklace: 38.5 cm, width and thickness to the widest: 6 mm. Width of the motif : 2,35 cm, length at the longest: 6,75 cm, thickness at the widest: 1,17 cm.
Total weight of the jewel: about 23.7 g.

The story of this jewel: This coral and gold necklace was created by special order to a Parisian jeweler for the wife of a French diplomat who had fallen in love with Coral skin of angel after a trip in the region of Torre del Greco in Italy.
