This is a lovely French Gripoix bead necklace created in the 1960s by French designer Louis Rousselet
The single row of graduated hand made beads of glass rose quartz are interspersed with a lovely combination of smokey quartz aurora borealis bi-cone briolette beads, clear aurora borealis briolettes with caps of smokey quartz navette paste stones and small opaque poured glass beads all hand wired .
A large 2 inch pendant is suspended from a rose quartz Gripoix glass bead. A clear aurora borealis briolettes with a large gilt pierced metal cap, wired and decorated with clear rhinestone rondelles, small clear AB bi-cone beads, smokey quartz navette paste stones, opaque poured glass beads and a double row of clear rhinestones. A large 25 mm Gripoix glass rose quartz bead sits in the centre all hand wired and intricately made .
The hand made construction of this necklace is intricate and is typical French in design with beautiful hand made hand made glass .The double twist wiring secures the beads and the Shephards crook clasp often seen in high end french design .
Length of 28 inch with 2 inch extender and pendant drop of 2 inch.
This is an unusual well made Louis Rousselet necklace from the early 1960s.

The colour is perfectly soft pink and grey and very feminine.
