An 18 karat (18K) yellow gold charm pendant designed as a medal depicting the Madonna and Child with the phrase ‘Notre-Dame De La Garde PPN (Preiz Pour Nous)’ (trans. Our Lady of the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde, Pray for Us) around the edge.
The reverse depicts the Basilica in Marseille (also known as La Bonne Mere), and the phrase 'Sanctuare de N.D. de la Garde'. Signed Karo, stamped with the eagle mark for 18 karat gold and French manufacture, along with an unknown maker's mark.
