This is an absolutely stunning early antique Coral Cameo Pendant in 18 Karat Gold dating to the Georgian to Victorian period. The Coral Cameo is exquisite with a beautiful carving of a classical woman. The color of the coral is a beautiful red-orange color. The face of the woman is serene and beautiful. Her hairs is exquisitely carved. The coral cameo is set in an 18 Karat Gold open work scroll design which is adorned with engraved details. The early jewel dates most likely to the first part of the 1800s. The artistry and craftsmanship of this Georgian masterpiece are of the highest quality. The scrolling open work gold frame with its engraved details and stunning warm color contrasts beautifully with the inset coral cameo. The age of the pendant is evident throughout the jewel contributing to the magic of the artistry.
The pendant is 1 3/8 inches (36mm) long including the bales. It is 7/8 inch (22mm) wide.
