About the Item
Dating to the early to mid 19th century, this substantial double sided watch fob is a rare and wonderful jewel. One side of the pendant glows with a pastel foil-backed amethyst, the other banded agate adorned all around by gemmy emeralds and vibrant raspberry red alexandrites (which had just been discovered in Russia). Hand fabricated in 18k gold, this piece has been lavishly hand chased on every surface. So special.

Notes: Due to the foil backing, this piece should not be submerged in water. Several of the alexandrites and emeralds show surface wear and have tiny chips that can be seen with magnification.
