Indulge in this stunning Georgian Antique Brooch or Pendant with a magnificent hand painted portrait miniature of a woman painted "en grisaille" and set in magnificent frame with early Paste Diamond and Emerald stones.
I believe the brooch is a French or Austrian jewel of museum quality with a scene of a lady done En Grisaille, and set in a silver setting with Paste stones. The early antique jewel dates to the early 19th Century. The painting of the woman is "en grisaille," or in black and white and shades of grey. The painting is the work of a master artisan - it has stunning details with wonderful face, hair, hat and gown. The remarkable brooch pendant is a delicate, romantic masterpiece of the Napoleonic era. The piece has its early C-clasp pin stem. It can be worn as a pendant by placing your favorite chain through the open work at the top. A bale could also be easily added if desired.
The piece is 2 1/2 inches (6 cm) tall and 2 inches (5 cm) wide.

The locket features a stunning hard stone hand carved Cameo of a woman in exquisite clorthes with a beautiful face, wonderful hair and wearing a pendant earring. The work of the artisan is absolutely superb. Carving hardstone cameos requires much greater skill and artistry than shell cameos. This white and black onyx carving is magnificent.
The locket is Gold-Filled with a braided surround on the front. The reverse has an open work filigree design. The chain is a wonderful gold filled belcher link chain of great beauty. I love the design of the 3 bales with their wonderful finish.
