About the Item
Combining a great new bale design by Eytan Brandes with a great big golden South Sea pearl, this knockout pendant is modern, unique (literally, there's only one), and immediately eye-catching.
The bale is a 14K white gold box that's been dipped in black rhodium and meticulously pavé-set on three sides with 0.62 carats of tiny, earth-mined black diamonds.
We acquired the pearl in 2022 from Robert Shapiro of Wisconsin, a specialist in two of Australia's most beautiful exports: South Sea pearls and black opals. It's near-round and exceptionally large -- 17.7mm -- and boasts strong golden yellow color, especially for its size. It has a very light center circle on its bottom hemisphere, but its skin is smooth and glossy -- no lumps or pits.
The soft and substantial 1.2mm wheat chain in rich 18 karat gold is the perfect partner -- 18" long with a lobster clasp.*
