About the Item
This sterling silver cross pendant, hallmarked “FRB,” features detailed hand-stamped designs and a vibrant ½” × ½” Sonoran Gold Turquoise cabochon at its center. The cross measures 1 ¾” × 2 ¼”, with a ½” attached bale that brings the total length to 2 ¾” and a ¼” bale diameter. It comes suspended on a 21” sterling silver chain link necklace finished with a spring ring clasp.

Sonoran Gold Turquoise is mined in Sonora, Mexico, near the city of Cananea at Campitos Mountain. While the region is known for its large copper mines—an essential part of the local economy—turquoise has long been produced as a by-product of these operations.
Unlike most turquoise, which is typically formed in veins within host rock, Sonoran Gold Turquoise develops as individual nuggets within clay deposits. This unique formation gives the stone its distinctive appearance and makes it a standout among modern turquoise discoveries from the region.
