About the Item
This lacy, one-of-a-kind ice-white jadeite and oval tourmaline cabochon pendant has been hand-crafted in 14k white gold. The 28.50 x 28 x 2mm jade heart has been hand-pierced in a foliate design. The already highly-translucent untreated near-colorless white jadeite is made even more translucent by the piercing, as light soaks into the stone and makes it appear to rest slightly above the fabric. The pedant measures 38 x 28mm including the bail.
The 6 x 4mm pink tourmaline cabochon weighs approximately .60 carats.
Tourmaline is the October birthstone. But it has also been Jadeite's companion for centuries. So many antique jade jewels also feature tourmaline and no wonder.
This stunning pendant ships with a certificate from jade authority Mason Kay certifying the stone to be untreated "A" jadeite. The pendant does not ship with a chain. New and unworn.
