This is very impressive and what true imperial jade looks like! Almost all jade of this color, translucency and quality are treated or color enhanced. This icy imperial Jadeite jade pendant is certified to be natural and without any treatments. It is so rare to find such a substantial gem quality piece! To qualify as true imperial jade, it must have BOTH strong saturations of vivid green color AND a very high degree of transparency. The total length of the pendant is about 6 cm long and 2.9 cm wide. The jade itself is about 4.7cm x 2.9cm. The pendant is set in 18k white and yellow gold. The back of the pendant can also be opened for viewing. The icy imperial green jade dragon carving is exceptionally intricate. Wearing jade will bring you luck, health, safety and prosperity all year round. A traditional Chinese adjustable cord will be included in this sale. The untreated / un-enhanced natural jade is icy and translucent. You can see this pendant from a mile away! The jade is full of life (water). It GLOWS! It is truly mesmerizing. Photos does not do this pendant justice. We guarantee that the pendant will look better in person than these photos. IMPERIAL JADE
The term “imperial jade” is often misused in many jade listings because true imperial jade is extremely rare and expensive.
True imperial jade must have BOTH a strong saturation of green AND a high degree of translucency. Natural Material meeting both of these conditions is very uncommon and hardly seen. Color saturation and translucency are indirectly proportional. Material with a stronger saturation of color is more dense and less translucent. The opposite holds true as well.
