The true beauty of this carved jadeite jade pendant is difficult to capture in photographs; more difficult still to describe in words. Carved by hand in the form of an entangled squash blossom, the jade stone is highly translucent; the light lavender jade is complemented by pale yellow. When light strikes the stone at an angle and not from behind, the surface of the jade displays a sheen like satin, a glimmer that nearly hums.
Measuring 49.5mm x 27.83mm and 6.78mm thick, this pendant is a work of lapidary art. The vines that entangle the blossom are just masterfully rendered; the piece is pierced as well as carved.
It is delicate, yet quite powerful at the same time. The handmade 14K yellow gold bail is marked for metal fineness and the maker "MARBLE."
THis stunning pendant ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating that the jade is natural untreated jadeite from Burma (Myanmar).
