INDULGE IN A SPECTACULAR ANTIQUE SAPPHIRE ADORNED LIPSTICK CASE PENDANT NECKLACE IN SOLID 14 KARAT GOLD OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. THE JEWEL IS SIMILAR TO THOSE BY CARTIER. THE LIPSTICK HOLDER PENDANT DATES TO THE BELLE EPOQUE PERIOD CIRCA 1870-1910. THE JEWEL IS FROM A PROMINENT SEWICKLEY, PENNSYLVANIA ESTATE.
The spectacular lipstick case pendant in solid 14 Karat Gold with a natural Sapphire push lever is in the style of Cartier, Tiffany or Faberge. This is a beautiful natural mined sapphire cabochon of a fine blue color. The beautifully designed mechanism raises and lowers the lipstick by pushing the sapphire knob up and down. It works beautifully with a smooth elegant touch. The lipstick case is solid 14 Karat yellow gold. It is adorned with exquisite engraving throughout. There is an engine turned design of alternating straight and curving lines. In the center is an oval cartouche with a floral surround. The top is unadorned. The case has a lovely chain and bale to be worn as a pendant necklace. The top opens and closes securely. The bottom is hallmarked 14K and with the maker's mark of an S with a B and M.
The lipstick case is 2 inches (52 mm) tall and 1/2 inch (13 mm) wide.
The lipstick case weighs 11.1 grams.
