About the Item
The Love Medallion necklace takes you back to the Victorian era when romance was clandestine, and people turned to jewelry to send messages secretly to their beloveds. This 14K gold necklace merges inspiration from the East and the West—in appearance from the East and in meaning from the West.
The form of the medallion is inspired by the Kasumala, a historically traditional Indian necklace made by stringing identical coins very closely, often engraved with motifs. On the medallion reads the word "LOVE",inspired by regards jewelry (acrostic jewelry)—jewelry in which the initials of the name of precious stones mounted on the jewelry spell out the intended word—which was popular during the Victorian era. A small heart-shaped charm dances beside the medallion, an evergreen symbol of love.

This stunning, fine and impressive vintage diamond pendant has been crafted in 18k yellow gold and 18k white gold.
The yellow gold circular setting is ornamented with an 18k white gold collet setting featuring an impressive 0.72ct modern brilliant round cut diamond.
The setting suspends from an alternating white and yellow gold linked chain conjoined to the outer circumference of the feature setting; the chain style resembles a solid figaro style chain.
The chain secures with a conventional spring-loaded lobster fastening.
This vintage 1990's pendant is hallmarked to the chain catch with the gold fineness mark 750; the chain and setting have been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 karat gold.
This impressive pendant is supplied with an IDGL diamond grading report certificate.

Condition
This vintage pendant is excellent quality, set with a very high colour graded diamond displaying a fine white colour and brilliance.
