A Mappin
Webb diamond multistrand necklace in 18 karat yellow gold
This necklace is designed as 4 strands, each comprising of twisted wire gold for a flexible finish.
The strands are studded with diamonds each bezel set within its own ball of plain polished yellow gold.
This unique design gives the illusion of the diamonds floating across the décolletage of the wearer!
There is a total of 9 round brilliant cut diamonds with a total weight of 0.23 carats approximately, assessed as H colour, VS2-SI1 clarity
Finished with a barrel screw clasp fitting to the reverse of the necklace.

16 inches
Each individual bezel diamond setting: 4mm
Stamped 750, for 18 karat gold together with Assay marks for Birmingham for 2000 stamped M&W for Mappin and Webb
Mappin
Webb is a British Jewellers was established in 1889 but it’s roots can be traced right back to 1775 when Jonathan Mappin set up workshop for silversmithing in Sheffield.
In 1897 Mappin
Webb received their a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria they are in possession of Royal warrants from both Her Majesty and the Prince of Wales.
The necklace is not accompanied by the original papers or box, however it is accompanied by a complimentary valuation for insurance and authenticity.
Condition:
Overall the condition of the necklace is good, there are slight abrasions to the surface of the gold in line with its general age.
