THIS IS A MAGNIFICENT AND RARE EMERALD AND DIAMOND KACHINA MOTIF PENDANT NECKLACE WITH MATCHING KACHINA EARRINGS BY THE RENOWNED YAQUI NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN ARTIST MICHAEL HORSE. THE RARE JEWELS ARE 14 KARAT YELLOW GOLD AND ADORNED WITH EMERALD AND DIAMOND GEMS.
The jewels were made for a renowned collector of Michael's jewelry in the 1970s.
Michael Horse is an award-winning Native American Yaqui jeweler who uses high quality gemstones and gold in his work. Finding Native American jewelry in gold and adorned with fine gems is rare and these pieces are coveted by collectors the world over.
Michael Horse is also an award-winning ledger painter and actor with many roles in television and film. He is renowned for his role as Deputy Hawk in the ground breaking Twin Peaks television series.
The earrings are signed with Micheal Horse's horse hallmark.
The fabulous Kachina (Katsina) pendant and earrings are extremely rare in 14 Karat Gold. The design of the pendant and earrings are absolutely fabulous and reflect Michael Horse's superb artistry.
The pendant is set with a stunning emerald cut natural mined emerald in the headdress of the Kachina. The emerald is 5mm by 4mm with fine green color.
Between the hands is a gorgeous round brilliant cut diamond. The diamond is approximately 4mm in diameter, and is 1/4 Carat. It is brilliantly white and approximately G-H color.
The earrings are set with round diamonds between the hands of the Kachina.
It is very rare to find gold and fine gem set native American Indian jewelry and these pieces are highly treasured. These are among the most fabulous pieces we have seen and by the revered artist Michael Horse make them a treasure among native jewels.
The pendant is 1 1/2 inches (37mm) tall. It is 7/8 inches (23mm) wide.
