About the Item
The pendant depicts a young shepherd who can be recognized by his attire. The micromosaic, which can be dated to the nineteenth century, is produced in Rome, where this artistic technique originated in the last quarter of the eighteenth century and reached its peak during the 1800s. A fine rose gold frame and an onyx background complete the micromosaic.
