About the Item
Natural pearl and diamond necklace. Set to bottom with a drop shape natural freshwater pearl in a closed back half-drilled setting, approximately 5.5-5.5mm x 7.6mm, further set with four cushion shape old mine diamonds in open back rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.20 carats, and decorated with forty-five round rose cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.45 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.65 carats, to an openwork design featuring foliate motifs and millegrain edging, a linear pierced gallery and fancy shape open backholing, fitted with a fancy link chain and safety chain, pendant approximately 3.5 cm in length, chain approximately 16.5" in length. Pendant marked platinum, chain tested platinum, fittings marked 18 carat white gold, indistinct maker's mark, French, circa 1915, accompanied by Gemmological Certification Services report #5783-861.
