Indulge in this museum quality antique Pietra Dura Pendant in 14 Karat Gold with inlaid semi-precious stones creating a mosaic image of lily flowers. The pendant is a masterpiece of Pietra Dura work. The vivid creamy, mauve, pink and white flowers have extraordinary and subtle details within the lily petals. This is as fine a pietra dura creation as we have ever seen. The composition with the green leaves and stems and the magnificent flowers against the black background is exquisite. Pietra Dura jewels were popular souvenirs from Italy for people on the Grand Tour during the 19th Century. The image is set in a classic setting adorned with a braided border. The pendant is 14 Karat Gold. The flower pendant dates to the Victorian period, circa 1850 - 1890.
The pendant is 1 3/4 inches (43mm) tall including the bale and is 1 1/8 inches (29mm) wide. Without the bale the pendant is 1 3/8 inches (37mm) tall.
