About the Item
For sale is this "Plus qu'hier et moins que demain" love token. This love medallion of all love medallions was first created by the famous Lyon jeweller Alphonse Augis. He based this loving text on a poem of Parisian Rosemand Gérard. She wrote the poem in 1890 for her husband.
Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t'aime davantage,
Aujourd'huis plus qu'hier et bien moins que demain.
This vintage pendant is crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and is in-scripted with 'A. A' referring to the "inventor" of these stunning tokens. The plus on this charm is made in white, the minus is set with two sparkling red baguette cut rubies. They provide the perfect amount of colour to this wonderful charm with sunburst texture background. And last but not least, this beauty is hallmarked with a makers-mark of Alphonse Augis and a French eagle head.
The back of this charm is engraved with the name Alain and date 2-6-1971.
