About the Item
This gorgeous, one-of-a-kind 18 karat seed pod pendant by Eytan Brandes is cast from an actual seed pod. For the drop, he chose a lustrous drop-shaped Tahitian pearl with stunning color -- black with strong green overtones.
The bale is a nice-sized flat wire oval (stamped "Italy" because Eytan stole it from another pendant). It's big enough to accommodate most chain hardware, but we like it with the faceted brown zircon* necklace we made especially for this pendant. It's 18" long and is fully knotted, like a string of pearls, with contrasting blue thread. The closure is a 14 karat bayonet clasp (also scavenged from existing stock -- we're quite the scavengers around here). The chain is removable, so you can mix and match.**

* In case you're not familiar with zircon, it's a beautiful, natural gemstone that comes in a range of colors. It has nothing to do with cubic zirconium, which is a man-made diamond simulant.
