INDULGE IN A VICTORIAN TO ART DECO LOCKET OF GREAT QUALITY WITH STUNNING NATURAL RUBIES AND ROSE CUT DIAMONDS IN A CLASSIC 14 KARAT GOLD SHIELD FORM DESIGN DATING TO CIRCA 1860-1920.
This pendant locket has all the elements of a great gem. It is so hard to find these eminently wearable Victorian jewels of this quality. The gorgeous early 14 Karat Gold Victorian locket has the most wonderful design. The locket is adorned with rose cut diamonds and rubies and these gems are just gorgeous. The four rubies are natural mined rubies of a fine red color. They have fabulous fire and sparkle. The three diamonds are antique rose cut diamonds with the wonderful fire and sparkle of the antique diamonds that we love. These diamonds are approximately G-H-I color and VS clarity. The locket opens to reveal a place for two photos. The side with the photo has its glass insert intact.
The style of this locket is just perfect and hanging from a chain around the neck it would be divine. The locket is solid 14 Karat gold. I just love this jewel. It is so perfect, so romantic, so highly collectible, so wearable. The combination of the stunning gold and diamonds and rubies is the epitome of femininity and elegance.
The pendant locket dates to the Victorian to Art Deco period, circa 1860-1920. The design is clearly the work of a master craftsman.
The locket is 1 1/4 inches (31 mm) tall including the bale. It is 7/8 inch (23 mm) wide.
