About the Item
This one-of-a-kind pendant features a complete raw sapphire crystal that measures 37.37mm x 14.1mm wide x 11.68mm and weighs approximately 110 carats. One end has been dome polished and reveals a violet-blue color, with slight chatoyancy. Not quite a star sapphire, but almost.
A hole has been drilled though the top of the sapphire crystal and it has been endowed with a handmade patina-finished silver bail that's attached to a substantial 29" chain. The chain is 3.83mm wide, so this is a weighty, chunky and wildly unique piece.
