About the Item
Southwestern-style master jeweler Joan Slifka began creating dramatic jewelry in the 1960s but didn’t consider herself a “real” jeweler until the 1980s when she began her business. A departure from her oversized, chunky designs using crosses and hearts, this more delicate piece still incorporates her signature use of semi-precious stones set in sterling, and is perfect for everyday wear. It even includes an easy-to-fasten magnetic closure for easy fastening and unfastening.
16” pendant necklace consisting of two different kinds of sterling chain; 1 ¼” fixed round pendant featuring oval coral cabochon atop a larger round polished bone cabochon, both set in scalloped Southwestern style filigree setting. Magnetic rear closure. Stamped and signed.
