This exquisite antique propelling pencil dates back to the Victorian era, a time when writing instruments were not just functional but also served as symbols of status and refinement. The pencil is crafted from high-quality gold and showcases intricate a hand-engraved design that reflects the ornate aesthetic typical of the period.
A distinctive feature of this propelling pencil is its mechanical band of turquoise cabochon stones. These smooth, polished stones are carefully inlaid into the gold, creating a striking contrast between the vibrant blue of the turquoise and the warm tones of the gold. Turquoise was a popular gemstone in the Victorian period, often associated with protection and positive energy, adding not only beauty but also symbolic meaning to the pencil. The the screwable part at the top is adorned with a faceted gemstone.
