About the Item
A beautiful large and heavy 18 karat gold Venetian Etruscan fob charm pendant in the shape of a ball or also called sputnik. This Italian charm is set with six precious cabochon cut coral stones, while the gold surface is decorated with filigree, twisted wire-work and rosettes. The coral stones are round-shaped and bezel set in the gold. The pendant comes without the chain.
The charm pendant is in good condition, it has some small dents on the surface but this does not detract from the beauty of this jewel. This Etruscan Revival style fob charm dates from mid-20th century, 1950's-1960's. These so-called Venetian charms are a work of art. The size of the charm is 34 x 34 mm (excluded bail) and weighs 13.40 grams. The coral measures approximately 6 x 6 mm. Due to the artificial light the coral may differ in color from the actual daylight.
Most of our charms come with an open jump ring, which is used to attach them to a bracelet or necklace. We recommend this ring to be closed professionally by soldering them together before wearing - this can be done by your local jeweler.
This piece consists of Corallium Rubrum; C. Rubrum is not on the CITES list. This type of coral does not require CITES permit.
The jewel will be beautifully gift-wrapped in a black and gold presentation box.
