About the Item
A beautiful turquoise and diamond locket pendant from the Victorian (ca1870s) era! This lovely piece is crafted in 14kt yellow gold and forms a round shape. Covering the front surface are alternating turquoise stones and diamonds that hang in rows. The turquoise exhibits incredible sky blue hues that perfectly compliment the diamonds that sparkle beautifully as they catch the light. Found on the reverse side of the piece is a glass window set within a gold frame. The piece hangs from a large scalloped bail at the top, and would look wonderful paired with a complimentary chain. A fantastic Victorian locket, it would make a wonderful keepsake piece!
Measurements: The locket hangs approximately 2" long (including the bail at the top), measures a little more than 1 1/2" wide and is approximately 1/4" thick. The glass covered space on the back measures roughly 1" in diameter.
Condition: The overall condition of the piece is good. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The diamond and all of the turquoise stones are intact and securely set and the removable glass covered locket face and bail are secure and in good working condition.
