About the Item
This 18k gold pendant is engraved with the words “Ave Maria” which translates to Hail Mary, along with the profile of a lion. The well-engraved lion has delicate cross hatches that enhance the definition of the lion. The pendant has a beautiful aged patina that gives the gold a matte surface. The Hail Mary prayer, paired with the powerful image of a courageous lion, makes this pendant a symbol of strength—the perfect pendant to wear when you need to be reminded of your own inner strength and courage. Originally a cufflink, we added a jump ring so that it could be worn on a chain or charm bracelet. It is pictured here with its counterpart, the Victorian 18K Gold Hand Engraved Ave Maria Eagle Pendant Charm, which features an engraving of an eagle—another great symbol of strength—and is also available in our shop.
The pendant measures 7/8” x 5/8” plus an additional 6.8 mm round bail. It weighs 3.7 grams. It is marked as 18k gold.
