About the Item
A Victorian antique gold locket necklace comprising an oval locket pendant in 22kt yellow gold, suspended from a substantial 20kt gold chain. The locket is finely decorated to the front with an engraved lattice pattern of floral and foliate motifs, interspersed with applied 18kt rose gold diamond-shaped accents. The reverse is plain polished, opening to reveal two hand-painted portrait miniatures of women in period attire, delicately preserved under glass.
The chain is designed with alternating circular and rectangular links, each engraved and accented with bead details, creating a distinctive and refined design.
