A stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian 3.45 carat opal and 0.27 carat diamond, 22 karat yellow gold necklace; part of our antique jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique necklace has been crafted in 22k yellow gold. The antique necklace is comprised of a yellow gold rope chain, with a central setting comprised of forty-six conjoined circular links; each alternate link features a central yellow gold ball motif and twisted rope border. The impressive necklace is embellished with a central pendant, suspended via a yellow gold foliate decorated ring loop. The quatrefoil shaped pendant features a central claw set Old European cut diamond, surrounded by four stunning oval cabochon cut opals. The central pendant is segmented via yellow gold stemmed ball motifs and incorporates interlacing scrolling motifs to the nadir. The stunning Victorian necklace features four yellow gold three-leaf clover motifs, each embellished with an Old European cut diamond to the centre. These impressive pensile designs alternate with two independent cabochon cut opal drops, ornamented yellow gold scrolling motifs to each nadir, reflecting that of the main pendant. This opal necklace secures to the reverse with a push fit clasp. This gold and opal necklace has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 22 karat gold; this indicates the high quality of the piece.
